Most of the work on this site was created since 1998. I learned darkroom technique at Ryerson Polytechnic University, and studied print making at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD). My work was published in Expert, produced at OCAD; as well as Xtra! and The Body Politic, from Toronto. A portfolio of my photos appeared in the June 2000 issue of XY Magazine, from San Francisco. XY also included one of my photos in their Sixth Anniversary special photo issue (Fall/November 2001). (not only) Blue, a magazine from Australia, featured one of my photos in their August 2000 issue. The German magazine Stern features a gallery of my work on their web site. e-cimet, a web magazine from Slovenia, featured a gallery of my work. In November 2001 the Canadian magazine fab featured a profile of me as their cover story. In 2004 I was interviewed for the Toronto weekly Now Magazine. In collaboration with OUTtv's CoverGuy modeling contest, my work appeared on the covers of the Quebec magazine RG and the Calgary-based magazine Outlooks. Junior, from Brazil, ran a feature about me in 2008. I have exhibited at the Tom of Finland Erotic Art Fair, in Los Angeles (2003) and New York City (2004). I had solo shows at Marshall's Bistro, The Theatre Centre, and Health Focus clinic, all in Toronto. I was included in a group show at Gallery X, and in the Erotic Blender art show at the Gladstone Hotel and Come As You Are sex shop. My photos have been included in fundraising auctions for Snap! and Fashion Cares in Toronto, and for The New Festival, in New York City. My work is sold online by Bridges Gallery and eroticmaleart.com. I have used a Nikon D70s and Coolpix 4500, a Minolta SX700, a Sony Digital Mavica MVC-FD7, a Polaroid SX70, a Holga 120, a home made pin hole camera, and web cams. I do much of my own printing, on an Epson Stylus Photo 2200, and in a traditional dark room. The photos on this page are self-portraits. |
